Jamaica's Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett proposed a Caribbean Tourism Resilience Fund financed by visitor fees at the CTO Ministerial Council in Georgetown on 6 October 2026. He named Jamaica's Tourism Enhancement Fund as the model. That fee has gone to the Consolidated Fund since 2017.

PortMiami's 2026-27 lineup confirms MSC Meraviglia homeporting in Miami rather than Brooklyn. MSC cancelled Brooklyn sailings from 8 November 2026 to 11 April 2027. The ship will run six and eight night Caribbean itineraries, and Miami will hold four MSC ships for the first time.

Carnival Corporation told investors on 29 September that Europe and the Caribbean will each take 34 per cent of its 2027 deployment, the first time Europe has matched the region. Total capacity rises 0.5 per cent, so Caribbean capacity falls about 2 per cent while Europe rises about 10.
