A Trinidadian Firm Won US$243 Million to Finish Saint Lucia's Airport. It Priced the Work Against a Tobago Terminal Whose Final Cost Was Still Undetermined.

NH International (Caribbean) signed a US$243 million contract with the Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority on 20 October 2026 to build a 274,000 square foot terminal at Hewanorra International Airport, completing by late 2029. Its executive chairman put the terminal at US$509 a square foot.

Guyana Has Made a Runway Safety Team Compulsory at Every Certified Aerodrome. The Rule Covering Animals on a Runway Has Been in Force Since May 2024.

The Guyana Civil Aviation Authority gazetted four aviation Requirements on 12 October. One makes a Runway Safety Team compulsory at every certified aerodrome. Section 9.4 of the rules it amends has covered wildlife since May 2024.

Portugal Sold 44.9 Per Cent of Its Flag Carrier for €1.2 Billion. What Lufthansa Bought Was Brazil.

Portugal selected Deutsche Lufthansa on 14 October 2026 to take 44.9 per cent of TAP Air Portugal for 1.2 billion euros, over a rival bid from Air France-KLM. The Prime Minister said the winning proposal was 16 per cent higher and valued TAP at 2.55 billion euros. The state keeps 50.1 per cent.

Mexico's anticorruption ministry said on 20 September 2026 that its own forensic monitoring located a Telegram listing offering more than 15 million records attributed to Aeromexico, and that it would investigate of its own motion. The airline has filed nothing with the SEC since 22 September.
