An Airline Warned Twice About Animals on the Runway. Eight Days Later Its Aircraft Ran Off One.
Trans Guyana Airways wrote to the Civil Aviation Authority on 16 June and 9 September about animals and people on hinterland airstrips. On 17 September an animal forced one of its aircraft off the runway at Mabaruma. Operators are calling for inspections, perimeter security and wildlife control.
