The column headed No. of Tenders/Proposals does not count the bids for the contract beside it on two-thirds of the register's 12,316 rows. One bridge advertisement put 634 on all 31 of its awards. Where the figure can only mean one contract, the median is six and 187 drew a single bid.

Guyana's Law Requires a Supplier to Be on the Register Before Bidding. The Register for Contracts Below G$15 Million Is Not Taking New Names.

The Procurement (Amendment) Act 2019 created a register of bidders and requires a supplier to apply at least seven days before bidding. On 16 October 2026 the portal for contracts above G$15 million was accepting new accounts. The portal below that figure was not.
