Guyana Set Minimum Prices on About a Third of Its Carbon Credits Until 2030. What It Actually Receives Has Never Been Published.

Hess agreed in December 2022 to buy 37.5 million of Guyana's ART-TREES credits, about a third of what the country expects to issue to 2030, at minimums of US$15, US$20 and US$25 a credit by vintage. Those are floors, and no settled price has been published.

ExxonMobil Reported Paying Guyana US$2.58 Billion. Chevron Files Under the Same Rule and Names Twenty Countries, Not Guyana.

ExxonMobil's Form SD for 2024 records US$2,581,822 thousand paid to six Guyanese government bodies. Chevron's Form SD for 2025, furnished under the same rule, carries twenty countries and Guyana is not one. ExxonMobil had not filed for 2025 as at 28 October 2026.
