Guyana's first credit bureau was licensed under the Creditinfo name in 2013, traded as Creditinfo Guyana for nine years, took the EveryData name in 2022, and is now owned by Creditinfo Group. ## What did Creditinfo buy? Former Bank of Guyana Governor Lawrence Williams handed the licence for Creditinfo (Guyana) Inc., the country's first credit bureau, to Kristinn Agnarsson, then a senior business development manager at Creditinfo Group, on 29 August 2013, in the presence of Finance Minister Ashni Singh, according to [Creditinfo's own archive](https://chronicle.creditinfo.com/tag/guyana/?ref=lacaribenanews.com). The release announces no change to how the bureau handles consumer files. Under Guyana's law, lenders are required to share credit data with the bureau, and a lender cannot pull a borrower's report without consent, according to a bureau statement in [Creditinfo's archive](https://chronicle.creditinfo.com/tag/guyana/?ref=lacaribenanews.com).
